Only 45 players were chosen for the World Team, with just 2 players from Samoa high schools. Katina is a Hawaii commit and Coulter was a SMU commit. Leone High School graduate Beck Coulter and Kanana Fou High School senior David Katina, both linebackers — have been named to World Team, the squad which will face Team USA at Ft. Lauderdale, Forida, Jan. 30 during NFL Pro Bowl Week.
Beck is the son of Bob and Lima Coulter of Leone village. He currently plays for Trinity Community College in Texas.
David is a senior at Kanana Fou High School, and played football at Fa’asao Marist High School. He is the son of Pastors David and Debbie Katina of Leone, Vaitogi and Waipahu, Hawaii.
Both players are 6’ 2†, 240 pounds.

from the sports section of the samoan news, another story on a 6'2, 290# DT from Pago Pago who is a soph at NMMI in Roswell, making all conference. Doesnt mention that he has any offers yet, but it appears he's on track to finish his juco requirements in May. Anyone have info? http://samoanews.com/viewstory.php?stor ... 1263117600

WAS because he was a commit in the 2009 recruiting class. He's free to sign with any D-IA team once he's eligible to do so. However, many recruits end up with the team they originally signed with out of high school...and I'm sure that SMU's coaches are keeping tabs on him. I also wouldn't be shocked if Hawaii's coaches were keeping track of his progress...
