This from the Duke board.

"FWIW the latest rumor I've heard is that while Cut is a strong candidate there is a hangup over his desire to bring his entire staff to UT. However, UT has several assistants already under contract which would be expensive to remove. Also - as mentioned in the chat - apparently there is a pretty big power struggled going on in the Tennessee admin brass"

Maybe they are hagglin over whether to bring Johnny Majors back..
