I hope he stays. He is fun to watch. It's been a long time since we had such an awesome game breaker at RB. The last two I really remember who were in Shawnbrey's class were Rodnick Phillips and Donte Womack.

Don't forget ShanDerrick Charles! Man, I wish he would have been able to play 4 years.

He hurt his back in a pickup basketball game, right?
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Yeah, but whenever we start talking about great back at SMU in recent history, I always think of him. It was a shame he had to leave the game.

Shawnbrey McNeal to leave SMU to go pro

Kate Hairopoulos reports:

Shawnbrey McNeal told The Dallas Morning News today that he will pursue the NFL and forego his senior season.

McNeal became the first collegiate 1,000-yard rusher under June Jones this season as SMU went 8-5 and won the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl in December.

A Madison product, McNeal transferred to SMU after two seasons at Miami. The NCAA cleared him to play immediately because of family hardships. More details to follow.

Good luck Shawnbrey, it was fun watching you this season.

Now other than Daryl coming in as a freshman, who do we have in the backfield? Is Butler still around? With Padron starting to click with the receivers I hope one of the other guys can keep the defense honest. We would not have been in Hawaii without Shawnbrey.
