I hoped that Q's departure wouldn't be too much of a blow to this squad, but I underestimated its significance. Not only was Q a go-to guy, but his competitiveness and leadership made his teammates play better. This team has some (emphasis "some") talent, but there is a big hole. There are no real leaders on this team.

Amen - no leadership, no spark, no hussle, no huddles during FT's, no energy.

These guys are a bunch of front runners. Punch them in the mouth early and they roll over and quit. They have no heart. Dement would have gladly left last night. It is obvious that he is at his wit's end.
When Dement arrived, he was a stickler on detail and making the players do it his way or hit the highway. When this team hustles and does it his way, they are good. If anything bad happens early though, they quit and resort to playing an uncoordinated, frantic style of basketball and get run out of the gym by good teams.
There is not a good shooter on the team. There is not but 1 rebounder(Castro) who will mix it up.
BHop is a sorry excuse for a point and gets the ball taken away from him by just being sloppy about 2-3 times per game. He will lose it another 2-3 times by driving and leaving his feet without knowing where the ball has to be passed so he just throws it up. Isham- I don't even know what to say about him. He has given up and should be sent home. Talent without heart won't win. The Ponies have slightly better than average talent but absolutely no heart.
I hope Dement plays only the guys who will give everything they have for the rest of the year. I don't care if its A-head, Dement, Reay etc. We aren't going anywhere and at least that might make it easier for his successor if he finds out who wants to play and runs off the quitters.

Pearson showed me he wants to play - maybe start him? I can't believe this season is pretty much over already.
