Not a strong student. Everman school district has not produced many athletes who have made the successful jump to D1. Everman people I talked to at the aledo game kept saying that.

Believe we lost interest back in December. Bigger fish to fry.

only the back-slappers and cheerleaders-usually guys that don't know a thing about recruiting and don't have their own opinions other than what they are told to regurgitate at the Booster Club Rally. Every school has the fans who have to justify anything that might possibly be considered a negative. I still think he's a great prospect that for whatever reason didn't seem to have much interest in SMU. Something didn't click with SMU kinda of like the Jeriamiah Edwards kid from Garland that committed to Kansas. Go check his video and tell me he can't play-I can't remember ever seeing a video with more sacks and TFLs ever. Maybe he was concerned with the academic standards at SMU, maybe he thought that he would be better off in a smaller city, maybe he didn't like the social environment at SMU and wants to go to a campus with a diverse student body. Not every school fits every player. Its fine to admit that and look for someone who does. I think he's going to be a Stud if he stays in school.

BTW-the WDNWHA("We Did Not Want Him Anyway")-is a joke used by posters with a sense of humor and originally born from the frustration of losing top prospects in prior years. Might actually be considered a compliment

Nice example of a young man who dedicated himself to the classroom and excelling on the field.

Stallion are you attending the luncheon today or do happy celebratory events go against your nature?

the only forseeable event at which you will ever find me at a Mustang Club event is the public retirement of Cowpoke and Maybell to the pasture

Nice? Yeah sure it would be great if more people did not attend SMU Mustang Club events. By the looks of the packed house out today at the Mustang Club June Jones Luncheon I would say many would beg to differ. I wonder how many would pay to attend a Stallion Luncheon?

Yeah, it is nice. It's nice that we filled all those seats, it's nice a bunch of people pumped a little cash into the department, and it's nice that someone was actually interested in going to hear about SMU football. It's also nice to see someone who actually has a conviction and stands by it, and isn't some complete and utter shill for a particular group or organization. Objectivity never hurt anyone.
