I'm curious as to why Sorrell doesn't have more offers. He has a very impressive highlight reel, good speed and adequate size. Plus, isn't Blinn one of the top JC teams in the country?
Whatever the reason, I'm glad we got him and am excited to see him punish opponents in the future.

5-10 is not considered adequate size for a BCS Safety -that's part of it but as for non-BCS teams there is a reason that would explain a lot of it in the Rivals story.

He's closer to 5'8" than 5'10" and not a 4.5 guy (but who really is). He is a hitter though and when he was at Pflugerville he really laid it all out. Haven't seen him at Blinn.

I guesstimate so too-I'd say maybe 5-9 or somewhere around that that-he's itty bitty for a safety. BTW about 20 safeties have committed to Big 12 teams-only one is listed at below 6-0 and he's listed at 5-11

Rock also didn't have towering height but was a good player for us as well in the defensive backfield. His height doesn't worry me much.

No, I'm just not familiar with what you're talking about. I don't recall hearing/seeing anything about someone collapsing on any of the sites.

On the other hand, if I do mock you someday, don't be surprised. But I'm not in this current situation. Just trying to figure out what you're talking about.

It's not the height it's the width that matters

I jut figured out what you were talking about. I tried to quote you and ask what everyone was talking about, but somehow I deleted my questions when the "you can only quote 3 people" error message popped up when I posted.

So, moving on, who collapsed and when?

Its really too bad we couldn't get him here for spring but on the other hand this kid has played at the highest level of JUCO(National Championship) and high school (runner-up 5A state championship) so I bet he pretty experienced and should pick up quickly.

Rock seemed taller than 5'10". I'm 5'11" and he was least eye level with me, if not slightly taller.

I think Joe Sturdivant was 5'11". He seemed to have worked out for us pretty well.
