Football exhibitions are always like this. Players are unfamiliar with each other and the plays and the timing is way off as a result.

Football exhibitions are always like this. Players are unfamiliar with each other and the plays and the timing is way off as a result. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: OFficial East-West Shrine Game Thread
http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/ds ... &genpos=WR this was from last year when he was thinking about the draft. fastest 40 was 4.36, slowest was 4.56. supposed to have been timed at some mini-combine deal he went to while trying to decide. VERY surprised he could run a 4.36. shows 5'10.5" & 185 lbs and i don't think he's any heavier this year
Re: OFficial East-West Shrine Game ThreadAll exhibitions are painful to watch. Just like all-star games.
Good luck, Emmanuel
Re: OFficial East-West Shrine Game ThreadI counted three balls thrown to him in the game. The first he had in his hands about head level but the DB hit him on the ball as it arrived and knocked the ball away. The second, he was running side by side with a DB who it looked like elbowed him to the ground while the ball was in the air. The ball was intercepted by another DB. No interference call. The third ball was overthrown. He was named one of the three impact players on the west team but was not given much opportunity to show it.
Re: OFficial East-West Shrine Game Threada lot of players to get looks in an all star game... too bad for emmanuel, but he did what he needed to during the week and thats all that really mattered. time to get ready for the combine!!!

Re: OFficial East-West Shrine Game ThreadNew special teams coach Kurt Schottenheimer is in Orlando this week to help coach the West squad in the East-West Shrine game. One return man he should keep an eye on is SMU's Emmanuel Sanders, who averaged 13.8 yards on punt returns this year, good for 10th in the nation.

Re: OFficial East-West Shrine Game ThreadWR Emmanuel Sanders, 5-11 182, Southern Methodist # 323 Overall: Has had a few bad moments in practice, and has an unnerving habit of trying to test the lateral waters before getting upfield, he has nonetheless proven to be a solid all around WR, effectively blocking downfield and laying out for errant passes. Hasn't kept his routes as crisp as scouts would like to see, given that the DBs all pretty much know what is coming, but has gotten a few guys to "yo-yo" (think Eddie Royal double move on Hall). Could have a big game on Saturday, and is clearly the fastest WR on the field at the Shrine game. Projected College Free Agent.

Re: OFficial East-West Shrine Game Thread
That can be coached. That's a result of playing in the run and shoot, largely with QBs who didn't have much time to wait for their receivers to get downfield.
