Any chance we move Frazier inside and put Hunt as the starter opposite Thompson?
Back off Warchild seriously.

absolutely.comical that scout tried to pull one out from under us. rivals told us about that one last week.
I didn't realize that he had talked to Coach Jones already and committed? Or is there a different between committing or saying you are gong to? Is both newsworthy?

Hey guys, new to the board and started following smu football since a couple of kids I know signed in the 09 class. Anyway, my question is what's up with the pittman kid? It seems he gets no respect and from what I've seen he's pretty good. Had decent bowl game, a little undersize, but IMO if he puts on little more weight you guys have a darn good NT. Is he a team problem or has other issues. Of course you need some depth but just thought I'd ask.

Be nice, we need both services to be on these recruits and we have to support them both.

I think Pittman's going to be fine. We aren't really as desperate at NG as some think. We got one excellent NG in this class who will be here for spring practice. In an emergency we could play Frazier although I hope we keep him at DE. Go to every board in the country and they wished they had one more great DT. Sometimes you got to develop DTs from other positions-that's just the way its done. Do I wish we had one more NG-yes just like I wished we have had more DT in every year since the Death Penalty.

This cannot be repeated enough. Everyone here wants another DT, but so does every team in the country. Whether we like it or not, we (mid majors) are usually 2nd in line behind BCS schools and all of them are also bemoaning the fact that a good NT is hard to find. We will be ok as long as we can stay ahead of our conference mates for a few years n order to catch up with them. Then, as we overtake them, we can focus on those outside the conference who are ahead of us.

Just thought I'd ask, like I said I'm new just beginning to follow smu football and he is one of the DL's that stick out to me and I never hear him get credit for his play. Thought maybe he had attitude or work ethic problems. I understand the depth thing completely and look forward to the new recruits. And by the way you guys have a very good player in Taylor Reed.
