That is not even close to the truth. I am like az1, do you have a source or link?.
Let's see...Johnson is from Tyler...Casey is from Tyler. Casey says that "According to a relative of Johnson's...." My guess would be that Casey's source is the Johnson relative.
Well Casey, did you talk to the alleged relative (and which one)? Because that is not what Johnson or his parents said. I know you were not just throwing that out there (or were you).

You are right Rebel10. In fact, when the Rivals dude broke the story last week our coaches had to react quickly and react they did.

Whatever. The main thing is that we were able to secure him and now we don't have to worry about facing him at QB every year. I think this kid along with Collins, Guinyard, and Londy are going to be some serious badasses. Padron is going to have quite a few weapons in his arsenal.
Back off Warchild seriously.

I live in Tyler. I know some of his relatives. One of them told me, based on conversations either with him or parents — don't know which. I understand your skepticism, and that's fine ... believe whatever you want. Just sharing what I was told.

I guess we will see Johnson working a bit out of the wildcat now. That should be exciting.

I like the Londy kid as well.

In the original list of commits, Johnson was listed as a WR. I assume that was based upon the position he played his junior year. Since he has had such a good year as QB, why would he not be in the mix competing for the QB position at SMU? Is it the coaches' opinion he would be better suited as a WR or is that just the opinion of the posters on this board?
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Don't forget Holman and Greenbauer. I'm guessing Johnson is a WR now because of his crazy athleticism. Don't know about his arm strength, but since he's a WR now, it doesn't really matter, right?

Corso, you think Greenbauer will be on offense or do you think he might switch to defense?

Johnson has always played QB-never WR-at least as a Senior and Junior. I believe he more like 5-11.5 or maybe a tad under 6-0 based on many videos aand highlites I've seen-but he can really throw for an option QB-and he can even throw the ball deep with a nice tight spiral
