Thoughts and prayers with the family and the young man. Just have to enjoy every day and remember we are never promised tomorrow. And please the title of this thread shouldn't affiliate with KA. They were kicked off campus last year and have since had nothing to do with the school. It was simply an overflow house the kid was found in. If this is a homicide, lets hope the people responsible are brought to justice.

I will say again, the title of the thread was taken from the Headline from the Daily Campus.

More news:

This guy has had it tough. Controversial since day one on PGA Tour. He was featured on Real Sports recently about his accident, amputation, etc. And now his son.

http://www.pgatour.com/2009/s/06/11/get ... index.html

from another blog:
"Ken Green's competitive comeback from a terrible RV accident last June in which he lost his brother, girlfriend, dog and one of his legs will begin in a Sunbelt Senior Tour event called "Ken Green's Comeback Trail" March 2-4 in Florida.

Green is attempting to become the first player with a prosthetic leg to reach the Champions Tour, and his first competitive event is expected to be the Sunbelt event at The Breakers Resort in West Palm Beach, Fla. Green's prosthetic leg has an ankle that pivots, giving him the ability to swing the club."

I watched that Bryant Gumbel 'Real Sports' segment a couple of days ago. Unbelievable. Prayers go out to the Green family on another tragic loss.

Latest news. Already tragic and looking worse. Like others have said, prayers are with the family.

From the DMN Crime Blog:

911 caller reported SMU student's death as a suicide

Bruce Tomaso/Editor Bio | E-mail | News tips

Hunter Green, the SMU student who was found dead in his dorm room last week, may have committed suicide, according to the 911 call that was made to the University Park fire department.

The male caller, a friend of Green's, tells the 911 dispatcher: "I think he may have committed suicide." He then refers to an e-mail that Green (right) is believed to have sent out.

"We got a note this morning that sounded a little suspicious, and we came over to his dorm room and found him laying on the floor. He doesn't appear to be breathing," the caller says.

Police have declined to comment on the cause of Green's death, citing their continuing investigation. SMU has released almost no details, saying the privacy of Green's family should be respected.

The Dallas County medical examiner's office is awaiting the results of toxicology tests that were ordered over the weekend.

The 21-year-old sophomore was pronounced dead at 12:36 p.m. Friday in his room in a former fraternity house on the SMU campus.

As Staff Writers Holly K. Hacker and Bill Nichols reported this morning, Hunter Green is the son of Ken Green, a professional golfer who has struggled through years of turmoil, including a bitter divorce, bouts with alcoholism and depression and the loss of his brother and girlfriend in a car accident last summer -- an accident that also cost the golfer his right leg. Ken Green, long estranged from his son, had been quoted in recent months as saying he had recently reconnected with Hunter.

Prayers go out to Ken, his and Hunter's friends, family and loved ones. This is all too tragic and truly unbelievable. To add this to all Ken has already gone through is just not right.

this is a horrible tragedy. and it's too bad the DMN had to try to sensationalize it by stating the location as a former fraternity house.

that would be like someone dying in the Central Market Parking lot, and the paper saying the individual died in the parking lot of a former Sports Bar.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Not to derail this thread, but, when I lived at Sig Pointe, that corner supplied me with endless entertainment options (even tried to get in to LeBare once...long story)
