Redshirt Fr. You're Most Excited About

Postby StallionsModelT » Thu Jan 28, 2010 11:53 am

I think I'm most excited to see Deonte McDade and what he is capable of. He was a lightning rod for Ennis in HS and could really add a much needed boost to our return game with the departure of Sanders and McCann. We're also going to need someone to step into a starting WR slot and who knows, maybe he is a viable candidate.

Honorable Mention goes to Brandon Henderson. Some of his highlights in high school were sick. Hope he can get some time in at LB next year.
Back off Warchild seriously.

I agree that McDade will be most interesting to follow. Given that SMU has recruited several individuals that are, in all likelihood, quite capable of playing wide receiver immediately, I would not expect to see McDade join the ranks of our offense.

Jordan Favreau...maybe not this season, but down the road I am most excited about him more than any red shirt...I think he will turn into an excellent guard.

Yeah I remember a few coaches raving about Favreau last year at the signing day event. One went on to say that if he isn't playing on Sundays by the time he leaves SMU then we have failed him. Hope he is progressing and gets on the field quickly.

My bad on Henderson. Boy that's an awful thing to waste an entire year for one tackle and only playing on special teams. Oh well.

I really wish we could add Joey Fontana to the list. Boy, I feel bad for that kid.

No use getting excited if they are academically ineligible. What a waste of talent if they don't take care of the academic side.
