Defensive Line RecruitngTo my count in the last 2 classes to date we have recruited a total of 2 defensive lineman and gotten a player to switch sports (Hunt) to play on the defesnive line. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

We've recruited a ton, just not signed 'em up. Derail the Frogs!
Re: Defensive Line RecruitngWith kudo's to RGV Pony and apoligize for any bad deeds for doing this but I copied his post from Football FYI to at least show what we have and we still have the possibilty of the Colleyville Heritage DL to offer and the LA. DT;

Mario Walker and Justin Smart in the mix too...maybe move Fleming back? What happened to the kid from Rusk or West Rusk or wherever? Did he go juco?
Re: Defensive Line Recruitngthats part of the reason we run the 3-4. Quality DLineman, especially tackles, are hard to find. O'Guin is going to be a good one and I expect him to play quite a bit.

Re: Defensive Line RecruitngWe have to hope they all stay healthy. I keep telling myself that they are going to surprise us with a couple of Juco D linemen.
When will I start feeling stimulated??
Re: Defensive Line RecruitngSo counting O'Guinn we only have 6 defensive linemen out of really 3 classes. I hope we find some late good qualifiers or good JUCOs. We do not neeed projects at that position at this point in the program since we have very little depth.

Re: Defensive Line RecruitngLast year my biggest surprise was the D-line play. Mason did an AWESOME job.
We really need d-line help NOW. Otherwise. XtC and I are going to have to suit up. ![]() Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: Defensive Line RecruitngWe should just offer Ryland Widener, we need DT's desparately

Re: Defensive Line RecruitngYOu never want to just give offers to give....
This staff will find someone to help whether it be late qualifier or JUCO...and if they don't they obviously are confident enough in what we have

Re: Defensive Line RecruitngBraylon Williams went JUCO. DOnt know if he played. I hope He redshirted and maybe can come back to SMU with 3 years to play. Also speaking of our other players that went JUCO Beck Coutour semms to have the size to be a hybrid DL/LB if he comes to play for us.
If Chris Atchinson keeps his grades up he may have to move to DT if we have an injury!
Re: Defensive Line RecruitngWhat happened to Zac Thomas? Roster says he's Defensive Lineman. Gonna be a Sr.-2L, I believe.
Weighs 280. Seems to me like he could do this. And frankly, I think Gottschalk could do this too. We need a JUCO D-lineman. Badly. "Moderation in all things, and especially in Absoluts [vodka]." The Benediction, Doc Breeden, circa 1992
Re: Defensive Line Recruitng
I heard Thomas has struggled with a back injury and his career may be over
