Outstanding piece that lets those of us who never had the previledge of knowing or meeting Frank understand his influence and legacy.

Nice video...put a lump in my throat several times. I wish someone like Thad could put together a short video about Frank Gansz and have lots of sound-bites of his bullhorn practice routines. If you never attended a practice with Coach Gansz on the bullhorn you really missed something special. I only wish I had taped more of Frank's mastery conducting practice. Short video listen to Frank on the bullhorn: http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y273/ItsZep/SMU/?action=view¤t=Smu08_4.flv

The video was a great story. Morstead sponsoring one of the youth buses this season was class. Morstead as an alum is great for the program. Favorite memory of a Morstead punt was watching the ball go through the returner's hands and SMU recovered-guy in front of me just said " they never expect the re-entry heat"

Great story. But really makes me wish we still had Coach Ganz on the sidelines with our team to help turn out more Thomas Moresteads.

Nice story on Morsead in this morning's issue of the DMN. I haven't had time to look up the link for the on-line version. If you find it please link it.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Thanks. That's the story that was in the DMN. Didn't realize it came from somewhere else.

The pretty colors probably grab your eyes down to it.
