Wow. And to think his head coach didn't even think he was ready to play and didn't know enough of the offense when he was thrust onto the field at Houston! And to think, if not for Bo's injury Kyle may not have played at all last year and here people are mentioning him in the Heisman race. Makes you wonder if the ole ball coach really knows that much about quarterbacks in this day and age. Gotta give him credit for getting Padron to SMU. Now don't mess up a good thing! Some guys are just winners!

It was discussed on both paysites that Padron would likely get play time in the Houston or Tulsa games before BLM ever got hurt.

Jones could see what anyone could see: BLM was toast.

I am pulling for Padron. I believe he will be top 5 in passing yards.

I also like Landry Jones from OU. He could be a sleeper.

You would think Landry Jones would have a job waiting for him somewhere in the Cowboy organization.

I hope there's some sarcasm in there.

Even suggesting that Jones could "mess up" a quarterback shows incredible ignorance. The man's got some skins.

Here's wishing Kyle a wonderful year. Smuuth you have to give Coach Jones credit for getting him ready and publicly lowering the pressure on him by making those statements.

Landry jones should be benched... Drew Allen in 10 will be the starter. And I hope Padron can step up and win more games and do well, but being on the Heisman list for QB's this early could be a bit of stretch. Sorry to seem like such a debby downer, but Lets not put too much pressure on this kid to earn something that he should not worry about yet. Lets worry about taking care of tech, then tcu, and if his numbers are impressive through those two games, then we can look into a Heisman talk.

Let's also not be discouraging to Kyle by saying the opposite. He's got a level head. Besides with being at SLC and being MVP of the Hawaii Bowl and seeing how he has handled that he will be okay. Coaches always sa he has a real level disposition about him. Also, one of my co workers is an OU fan and he also that he thinks Drew Allen will challenge Landry Jones.

I like Padron's future, but I just don't want an over-hype on him this early into his career. 6 games in is just a bit too early. But I can't wait to see what he can do and know he can live up to this hype without a doubt in my mind.

Interesting, especially for someone who once bent over backwards in order to defend BM.

By your own logic, your desire to continue using BM and not recognize him as a problem makes you even less knowledgeable than the coaching staff. Therefore, any criticism you have regarding the leadership provided by our generals is equally questionable.

It's really not that much of a stretch.

Padron will have the opportunity to put up compelling numbers.

If he comes through, there is no reason to think he would not get mentioned - at least to the level Case Keenum did last season.
