Re: Non-BCS recruiting performance per Rivals listsSMU is about the 15th ranked non-BCS school-that's what 16 3 stars gets you in an inflated grading system-but you guys knew that already because I noticed the trend 5 months ago before anyone else. Really I think the SMU Class should be in the 68 range-right now its rated No. 75 in the country. Any comparison of star ratings in prior years is a complete and utter waste of time.

Re: Non-BCS recruiting performance per Rivals listsWhere do you put TCU?
Re: Non-BCS recruiting performance per Rivals listsprobably No. 1 for non-BCS schools for quality in a small Class. They are just about right at No. 25 in Average Per Recruit-a historic high I believe for non-BCS schools. They are about 45th in Total Points but TCU is ALWAYS going to screwed by Total Points because they sign small classes, retain and graduate players and rarely run them off

Re: Non-BCS recruiting performance per Rivals lists
give me a f**king break and grow up
Re: Non-BCS recruiting performance per Rivals listswhy does tcu always have such small classes? doesn't make much sense
Re: Non-BCS recruiting performance per Rivals listsgrow up? This is the truth-just because a lot of posters were running around ejeculating because we "had more 3 stars than ever" only one poster noticed that the grading scale was different and told you 6 months ago on August 8, 2009.

Re: Non-BCS recruiting performance per Rivals listsRetaining players is different the graduating players. i would say TCU does a nice job of retaining - by managing the "advance toward a major "and also supporting some football friendly majors. I am in no way slamming them for that....we should emulate them in this area - it is still something we need to work on to achieve parity with other programs.
Re: Non-BCS recruiting performance per Rivals listscould be-think there is some truth there but the real difference why SMU is having to sign so many more players every year is that TCU signs BETTER players and COMMITs to working with them while June hasn't been able to sign players of that caliber yet and is weeding through the players that don't fit. Not saying its necessarily wrong for a new Coach but the Goal hopefully will be eventually move more toward what is happening in Ft Worth.

Re: Non-BCS recruiting performance per Rivals listsyea but every other good program still gets around 25 commits. even if you have a great eye for talent, why not add 7 more guys you think could pan out - but may not.
also, what is up with boise's class? 10 commits?
Re: Non-BCS recruiting performance per Rivals listsbecause TCU keeps so many players around for 4 years that they can't sign more and still keep under the 85 man limit. There are two limits the 25 annual and 85 man roster limits

Re: Non-BCS recruiting performance per Rivals lists
AND they do a good job of recruiting to their system and not wavering from it. This is what confuses me more than anything else. They've been oh about an average of #50 in recruiting year in and year out and yet keep getting top 25 or better finishes. How could this be? I think the answer HAS to be that Rivals recruiting rankings are serious flawed (and I'm not just talking about the three star inflation issue...) As Crabtree says, no way we are at 70 with this class.

I could be wrong, but I think he was adressing your self promotion and tone than your facts. You catch more flies with honey.
