SMU/Tulane Game ThreadModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: SMU/Tulane Game ThreadDoh ripping the team for turnovers
Re: SMU/Tulane Game ThreadWe finally found a team with worse fan support, arena, product on the court, and announcers than us. I feel superior
Re: SMU/Tulane Game Thread
You ever seen a Rice game?
Re: SMU/Tulane Game ThreadNice interview by Doherty, I appreciate the way he is growing and learning, he has turned over more duties to his assistants and he seems more relaxed and balanced even after losses.
I like how he was pleased with the win but wants more from the players. Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!
Re: SMU/Tulane Game Thread
Yes: two for two
Re: SMU/Tulane Game ThreadNice game thread, thanks to everyone for making it enjoyable, lets celebrate till midnight and then get our game faces on for UTEP, I want Moody to be rocking!

Re: SMU/Tulane Game Thread
I plan to celebrate, but unfortunately I need to get some homework done first.
Re: SMU/Tulane Game ThreadNice win!!! Let's beat UTEP!!!
Re: SMU/Tulane Game ThreadNice bounce back win on the road after a tough loss to S Mess.
Fantastic FT shooting. Total control of the boards. "We have a great bunch of outside shooters. Unfortunately, all our games are played indoors."
Re: SMU/Tulane Game ThreadJust a nice solid win on the road. Papa Dia certainly deserving consideration for first-team all-CUSA. 17 and 16 is crazy good. Nice to see them finish strong when it got a little tough. Won 5 of the last 6. We'll see what happens vs UT-El Crapo.
Re: SMU/Tulane Game Thread
Doesn't matter who you play — an 18-point conference win on the road is greatness.
Re: SMU/Tulane Game ThreadRoad wins in conference, by any margin, are big. And that is for teams that have won on the road before. SMU has been allergic to road games the past couple of years under Doherty. I am thrilled to win by any margin away from home and 18 is huge.
Re: SMU/Tulane Game ThreadBy the way. No comments about how tight the rotation was? Granted, McCoy is out. But, we played only 8 guys and 2 of those played less than 10 minutes each! I am thrilled with that. I think an 8 man rotation is fantastic and a 9th man gets off the bench occasionally when you have a problem at either the 1 or a big with foul trouble.
Re: SMU/Tulane Game Thread
Yes; the Rice and Tulane games have been the lowest "announced" attendance figures for the year...but not by much. Tulsa is the only CUSA private school with decent attendance, but they've always supported their bball team pretty well up there.
Re: SMU/Tulane Game Thread
William's endurance is impressive. He plays all game every game. I think Harp was hurt a few wks ago, but hasn't seen the court in a long while. Haynes is decent - I think he'll get better. Doh said Nyk's knee is still a problem. I guess we'll see more Clinks and Walker.
