Now if we were to play Baylor, TT, aTm, North Texas, TCU, along with some of our current conference opponents, then the dinero to see these games is meaningful and worth the price. But as long as we continue with half of the current conference opponents, then the attendance just will not be there, and the prices just are hard to justify.

It is just difficult for me to "pony" up a 333% percent increase to see 3 maybe 4 meaningful games. This is a big decision for me and the question I keep asking myself is "Is it worth the money now to possibly see better opponents in the future?" Hopefully I will have an answer by May 1.

In my opinion, we need to push for an expanded MWC with TCU, SMU, UTEP, HOUSTON, TULSA and maybe North Texas as an east division. Then we can play Air Force, BYU, UTAH, BOISE, etc. These are much much better games and would warrant the prices.

I do not understand how an SMU fan (to be clear, I do not in anyway want to imply that I am questioning whether you are an SMU fan because I know you are) can say that half of the games, all of which have SMU playing in them, are meaningless to them?

Oh he's got a point to anyone who knows what playing in the SWC was like. There are a high percentage of SMU games every year where no SMU fan gives a damn or even knows a fan of our opponent. Many many many SMU alums simply will never care about attending games against schools they don't care about. Even SMU's administration has pointed this out every time they have tried to explain their ineptness over the years. I can hear the excuses now "People don't understand how much the breakup of the SWC...."

As for the new Seating Plan-I have ZERO problem with it- I'd bet its market competitive with other programs in our area that we want to be compared with. Ford has few of these premiums seats anyway-Ford has by far less seats within the 40s than just about any school. If you don't want to pay $1,000 don't expect to sit on the 45-50 yard line. Now if they pulled this crap out when they hadn't established a Model that was competitive then I'd have a lot more problems paying that market rate that other competitive programs pay. Why pay Major League prices for a Minor League product. But as far as I can see they've done the things necessary to establish a competitive program-and part of that is raising the revenue necessary to compete

Are there any hopes that our opponents will change in the coming years with the adding of a team to the Big10(11)? I for one don’t really care who we play, while I do prefer big games like Tech, TCU, and A&M. Bottom line for me on the ticket prices, too much too soon.

I called today regarding Blvd tent and season tickets. $1000 donation to renew the tent plus cost of the tent, which has yet to be determined. However, the Mustang Club donation also covers the required seat donation. I'll be looking for a couple of friends to buddy up with. This might be a good strategy to follow.

I have to agree with Wuba on this one. Are you are going to Ford to see SMU or to see the opposition? Is a game only worth attending if the opponent is mentioned on Gameday? Do you only know top 30 programs? I'd buy this line of argument of SMU was like KSU and was bringing in a steady stream of FCS schools, but this idea that people have no idea who SMU is playing is silly. We are there to support SMU, not Baylor, TCU, TTU, etc.

Or because it's the only venue left open on campus after the 'vard shuts down??

With the newly implemented prices it places us third in conference. I was wondering who was #1 and #2 ECU UCF?

I would not necessarily trust the accuracy of this information. While the new plan does not really effect me as I am already making that donation to the Mustang Club and have my 4 seats in 105, and will do again this year, my issue is the one I made in my other post. How are they going to be sure the priority points they assign are accurate ? I have real concerns b/c of lack of adequate man power that everyone's points will counted and will be correct.

This is awesome to read. My family has had at least one boulevard spot and eight tickets in 205 since the stadium opened. I have been trying to move all eight tickets down to 104. If the complaining on this board is any indication, I may finally get my wish.

At a bare minimum, if I don't get to move I will at least feel like people are having to pay for the best seats in the house.

Get ready 104. Here come the cowbells

You doubt the Mustang Club? The hell you say! Lol
Why do you care about points if your not wanting to move your seats?
