WHat should our expectations be for the upcoming recruiting year? Obviously we aren't competing with UT, but what shoul dwe be looking for...more guys with BCS offers from schools like KU, Mizzo, A&M, Tech, TCU?

I think your analysis is correct. But UT SHOULD be our rival. Ron Meyer came in here in '76, told the players that UT, not TCU was our rival (even though we hadn't beaten UT in 10 years). In '80 we finally beat them and subsequently humiliated them at their place and at Texas Stadium before the DP. If we don't think big we won't get big.

Exactly! I just saw where one of the UT recruits ( that SMU had also offered) was so happy that UT offered him this weekend, that he accepted immediatly because he had dreamed about it since middle school.
We hope to have kids coming up now that are dreaming of attending school at SMU because of SMU's exploits......it starts now.
The future junior days here at SMU will get easier as there are middle school kids that watched the Hawaii Bowl and just started thinking about being a Mustang.

i don't think it does. usually this early they just have everything listed together

The only reason I wondered was because all the kids on the list that were interested in, that committed to UT, all had UT's logo at the very front followed by all the others, I am not fully sure it is random just because of that.

ah didn't notice that, well maybe you are right. but maybe they just put texas first since it's a top program

What some recruiting pubs do is to list by interest and them alpha within that stratum.
