If this is the case it is likely that SMU indicated that there was no longer any interest in pursuing him.

Care to share where you got this info? It isn't on Rivals. That's a big statement to say without having proof. I understand there is a lot of red tape to go through to get him approved by the administration and a visit this weekend may not be likely, but please don't make a definitive statement unless you have proof.

Since a non rivals guy broke the story, I am going to believe this guy in that he isn't coming....

new mexico state is going to have a hell of a rb next year then
Re: JUCO All-America to visit SMU?
Maybe the administration will suspend us from football for a year for just thinking about bringing him here.
Re: JUCO All-America to visit SMU?
whoever broke this story, on this board, deserves a good deal of credit for it not happening. Way to grasp how this stuff works
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

Re: JUCO All-America to visit SMU?
not to sound skeptical, but do you really believe SMUBoard reads ponyfans.com or rivals and bases an admissions decision on what WE say??? we maybe think too much of ourselves here guys.
Re: JUCO All-America to visit SMU?
There are good points to make for admitting this player and not admitting this player to SMU. A big reason why SMU has not been competitive before last year was that the coaches could not get certain-type players into school (ie, grade risks and kids with past trouble). Houston, UTEP, TCU, and now Tulsa seem to have a much easier time getting these-type players in their schools and keeping them eligible. JJ has said he is getting players into SMU now that past coaches could not get into SMU. Will these-type players stay at SMU and finish their eligibility? Houston, UTEP, TCU, etc. keep their players eligible for the most part-they find a way. With respect to this player, I would admit him and let him be a part of the team. I am in favor of giving players second chances. If rules are broken here then do not allow him to be a part of SMU. If JJ wants to take a chance on him then the school needs to support his decision.

agree 100%
Re: JUCO All-America to visit SMU?
remember, this isn't just an issue of us making the final decision. he has to want to come here too. should KT decide to go elsewhere, that's out of our hands.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
