Re: Out of the blocks
actually there are reports that he has already decommitted or at least reopened recruiting-not sure why he is still listed as committed

Totally forgot that Rusty Burns is over there.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Read someplace that a bunch of TCU players have gone on record as saying Coach Burns is the best coach on their staff. Maybe it has something to do with not being handcuffed by the head coach?

Re: Out of the blocks
I thought he did a decent job at SMU-people are always going to complain about an offensive mistake late in the game when your defense gives up 40 points a game

Re: Out of the blocks
I am trying to recall if I thought at the time he did a good job or not. I really don't remember. Maybe I am trying to block out the Bennett-era altogether. I remember the offense was just terrible before Burns was hired, so I suppose I recall Burns improving the offense.
I guess my beef with Burns is that he was (and I assume still is) an OC that wants desperately to be a HC.

Re: Out of the blocks
I remember him turning around from the sideline and flirting with 3 women in the stands. This was while the game was going on and we had the ball. Somehow I do not think his head was in the game. At least not the little one.

2007 SMU @ TCU - SMU has tremendous success early in the game running option plays. Get down into TCU territory quickly. We didn't run the option again all game.
