I lived on Goodwin, a block from Greenville, one of my years at SMU. Stumbling distance to all those bars and eateries...never went to Terillis though.

This sucks.

This is going to change the character of that area for some time to come.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

No accusations, but a lot of restaurants and bars catch fire in bad economies.

I've heard they are going to try to save the facade from that historic building. I hope they can.

I live on the corner of Ridgedale and Greenville and somehow managed to sleep through the entire thing. Woke up around 7:30 and headed down there to get a few pictures for my photography class. No huge flames or anything but here's what I was able to snap before a cop realized I wasn't with the press and made me go back behind the line.
