An additional option should be added that includes having stopped buying before and not attending in any fashion.

Is this poll assuming that Doherty will return?

I had to make a financial decision regarding my seats last year, determined I couldn't afford to renew based on the number of games I would be able to attend and the severe state of depression all the losses put me into. At least with football there was always the tailgating.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

You nailed it right there, and these days with the way football is going we have fun tailgates and games. If its status quo with basketball - it isn't worth it. I'll just buy a ticket to see Memphis come through town...Had tickets ever since I graduated, this year I didn't change my plans for SMU basketball. Not worth it, talent/coach/atmosphere/game presentation all bush league...

I will renew because i feel compelled to support the kids that are here, but I can tell you it was basically a chore to attend most games this season. The Rice and Marshall games, I basically didn't want to be there at all, which is truly sad personally. Used to think there was hope of reaching a destination, right now I'm completely bored with smu basketball and not feeling like we are on track for anything really.

The only way SMU will ever be relevant is if we have a fan base! You have to stay loyal to the program! Send letters to Orsini and Turner, rant about Doherty's incompetence, start up a fire Doherty website, but don't stop supporting the program. Big time programs keep their fans and is a big reason they are able to attract top talent (coaches and players).

For all his faults and as many detractors as he has Stallion ranted and ranted about the model, but kept going to the games.

I will be renewing my tickets also. I have had season tickets to both basketball and football since I graduated in 1979. I will say that I now only buy 2 tickets for basketball where as I buy 4 for football. My youngest son and the last one at home no longer cares to come see SMU play unless it is somebody big, ATM or Memphis. His reasoning is SMU is bad and they never play anybody that I have heard of. How do you argue with that? I too come to support the players and see other alums that I went school with. They may not be the best players out there but they are ours and therefore I will support them.

This was my second year with season tickets to basketball. I felt like the attendance was about Junior High school level. I have never been to college games with such little support, except perhaps Ranger Junior College.

I am not a great lover of basketball. If you top that off with empty seats, zero atmosphere, and less than stellar performances it dose make it a major beat down. There were two exceptions to that this year. I don’t need to tell you what games.

During this so called rebuilding time, I found it necessary to join the Secret Beer Drinkers Society. This group meets before each game and consumes what ever libation they choose. It was this time that I enjoyed the most. And it made the games a little more fun.

I will probably renew my tickets because I don’t want Mustang Bill to get them ha ha ha!
If for some reason I don’t. SMU will still get that $800.00 in football additional seats or parking tickets.

We will be renewing ours, win or lose. I also wish there could be an improvement to the sorry [deleted] concessions at Moody.

Didn't renew this year. Won't renew until there is a winning record or a proven D1 coach.
