I'm torn. I'd like to see a list of potential replacements first
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

Yes. Let's not kid ourselves. It all starts with recruiting & Doh has failed big time.
In addition to poor recruiting, I'll add very poor roster mgmt.,
and poor x's & o's. Time for a fresh approach.
I don't want to waste another year following a losing,
boring, under achieving, no direction, SMU mens basketball program.

I actually think the direction is fine, it's the velocity that needs a huge boost!!!

Who would you like to see on this list? If Doh were canned tomorrow, who would be the best realistic option to get this thing out of the toilet? Are there any good fits at other like-minded schools that could be money-whipped into coming here? All things being equal, how many established coaches would want this job if they weren't money-whipped (besides BCG)?

I'll give you a name that had a good job a Butler and is about to get run out of town at Iowa (because Alford left the team with no one) Todd Lickliter

Top 210 in everything we do. What was our RPI when Doherty came here? It's an insidious lie that we're getting better, just slowly...that's all based on the expected quality of next years' class. What if they hate Doherty too and quick playing hard like Paul McCoy? That pipe dream dies too. I guess we have to get to where football was...100% absolute rock bottom before we make a move. Is this Orsini's refusal to admit he made a mistake? Held hostage to one guy's hubris? Nice

RPI at the end of 2005-2006 (Tubbs' last year) was 268.
