Yes it is that weekend.....wonder if there is any truth to the below. Is having two ESPN games back to back worth the extra short week? "There is a rumor on TCU message board KillerFrogs.com that this season’s game against SMU will take place on either Thursday, September 8th or Friday, September 9th because ESPN wants to televise the game since it is in Dallas. "

TCU Thursday games always interfere with JV football.

Do you guys commonly take Peruna to road games? Most conferences (Big 12 inlcuded) prohibit visiting teams from bringing live mascots into the stadium without the home team's permission. Do you typically take Peruna to mingle with the travelling SMU alums?
Didn't Peruna try to mount the Red Raider horse a while back?

Even though it is going to be hot as hell, I think I am glad it is a day game instead of a night game. Pretty hostile place at night.....

That is really no problem. We will get June to mention this to the Pickens Trophy Wife. She will make a donation to Tech, if they will let us bring Peruna, Elmer and Glue.

I know a lot of people are against this, but I would love that. Wish we would play one game a year at the Cotton Bowl during the Fair.

1st we need to finish catching up to TCU talent wise, so we need to be playing at Ford until then. And now that they expanded the the cotton bowl our attendance would look even more pathetic. Maybe one day if we are both top 25 teams (still wouldn't sell out) we could have a good showing there. I'm all for corny dogs and cold beer in paper cups, but very few games give that great college atmosphere at Ford that this one does. Again, maybe if we are both top 25......and it is our turn to play in FW then maybe
