Just changed my reservations to coincide with the date change for SMU opener. Kick-off at 2:30? I know, it's a dry heat. I have just now gotten over my heat stroke from the aTm game a few years back. That was the worst (game and heat).

The best rate I could get was $149.00 per night with blocking out 20 rooms. No way am I cheesing up $170.00 a night to stay in Lubbock. I think I’m going to fly in and out the same day. For $170.00 on AA

Bring sun block! The sun bounces off that turf and you will be sunburn before the end of the first quarter.
GO MUSTANGS!

Didn't they change the turf to the same type that we have in Ford Stadium?

Tech has installed the field turf, but the sun still bounces off of it and burns the fans that are not protected. I learned that lesson the hard way last year.

If the sun actually bounces off of the turf, we will all be more than just a little sunburned.

Twin stepdaughters will be touring the campus on Saturday for a 'school visit' since they will be high school seniors this Fall.

Here is a picture taken from the Overton Hotel looking towards the Tech football stadium that recently appeared on the Tech message board.

Tech has stadium construction going on now, but, it's supposed to be finished before September. Looks like a two block walk to me. Pony Up!
