Interesting. He's apparently got accuracy, a thing JJ requires.

Re: SMU Legacy QB
sounds like he prefers to stay closer to home
Re: SMU Legacy QB
Looks like he is trying to get Mack Browns attention.

Yeah the charges aren't serious enough to get June Jones interested.

Re: SMU Legacy QB
You ever met Coach Jones Stallion??? Just curious as now you're a Mustang Club member. Maybe you'd like to share your comments with him. He's actually a very nice guy. Took the time to talk to me and my dad in a room full of donors giving a lot more to the program than me. Just wondering if you've met the man.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Re: SMU Legacy QB
My comments have little to do with June Jones-i supported him giving an offer to the RB with a very serious criminal career if he passed through a due diligence review of his file. My criticism is aimed directly at the multitudes of HYPOCRITES on this board who continue to make statements like Mack Brown recruits known criminals when in fact the recruits who have gotten in trouble after commiting to Texas have either a) had their scholarships jerked or b) gotten in trouble after enrolling at Texas-the most serious of those have been run off. Both schools recruit from the same pool-and if anything June Jones clearly takes more academically marginal recruits and has taken more chances with recruits with more marginal criminal backgrounds. I have no problem with those making a logical argument that marginal recruits should not be admitted-I disagree if they meet NCAA minimum qualification standards-I just don't think SMU fans can have it both ways anymore.

Re: SMU Legacy QB
I was just making a comment. Most people on this board think that UT recruits criminals so I thought it might make someone laugh. Heaven forbid we bad comment or joke about anything. Is there any school in the nation that we can say anything bad about without you getting your panties all wadded up. I said something about UT because Im not a UT fan I am a SMU fan. If it wasnt allowed for people to say not so favorable comments about a school then these message boards that you apparently spend the majority of your time on wouldnt exist. Lighten up.
Re: SMU Legacy QB
Stallion still thinks June Jones was a marginal hire.

Re: SMU Legacy QB
My first response was a joke too
My second response was responding to a direct inquiry
My third response is no I've never met June Jones or all but a handful of incidental contacts with current SMU players-I have no need to. In fact, I wished all SMU alumni jock sniffers and hanger-ons would stay as far away from SMU student athletes as possible UNLESS they are students, employees, related or family friends of the student althletes ofr their parents-I really do-there is no real reason why any SMU fans should otherwise be in the jock strap of the Coaching Staff or Players. Quite frankly that's what gets a program into trouble and has in the past at SMU. Just be a fan, support the program and come to the games.

Becoming the friend of a coach keeps one from being objective.

Stallion, In my opinion, meeting these young men and their families is one of the most positive things about SMU football. I feel like that all of us can accomplish this without violating NCAA regulations. You should have gone down on the field following the last home game. These coaches and their parents have transformed 18 year old kids into men that we can all be proud of.
