I think another 7 - 5 season, maybe can get to 8 - 4. Don't want to be a downer, but we could very well go 1 - 3 in nonconference. I do believe we could go 2 -2 with wins over Wash. St. and possibly Navy - Navy is just so tough at home.

It must be springtime if this thread has already developed...

we will lose at tech and tcu...too much of a talent gap still.

we will beat one team (Navy, likely) that we should not.

we will lose to one that we should not (tulsa).

6-6, 7-5 if healthy.

This is my honest opinion...

09/05/10 at Texas Tech ...........L
09/11/10 vs. UAB Home ..........W
09/18/10 vs. Washington State....W
09/24/10 vs. TCU Home .............L
10/02/10 at Rice ..................W
10/09/10 vs. Tulsa Home............L
10/16/10 at Navy ..................L
10/23/10 vs. Houston Home .........L
10/30/10 at Tulane ................W
11/06/10 at UTEP ..................L
11/20/10 vs. Marshall Home.........L
11/27/10 at East Carolina .........L

So 4-8.

We should beat Washington State, Rice, UAB and Tulane. I think Tulsa, UTEP,Navy, East Carolina, and Marshall will be better next year than they were this year and we will not be as strong.

I honestly hope I'm wrong but I believe 2010 will be a hard rebuilding year for SMU. Its what happens when you lose your top offensive playmakers (Sanders, McNeal) and some top defensive playmakers (Dennis, McCann, Kennemer).

Ok, without looking at anyone else's I've got us losing the two biggies (Tech and TCU) splitting the Tulsa Houston games, stealing a road win at UTEP. I don't think we beat Navy in Maryland, but we might be able to take out East Carolina, depending on what the momentum looks like at that point. So put me down for 7 wins.

Well we did get to the Sun Bowl in 63 with a 4 - 6, but we had to knock off #2 NAVY witb Roger the
Dodger. Also we lost to #1 Texas by 5, and other ranked teams by < 7.

Maybe if we knock off NAVY up there this year that will be just enough :!:
May the forth be with us.

I remember a year ago when people were hoping for 4 wins to help improve the recruiting, with several predictions of 2 wins. What a difference a year makes...

Ditto cadillac exactly - we are about to find out how bad we need shawmbry.

we win 7

2011 - could be very big year. With some strategic JC transfers we could have depth across the board for the first time since 1985.

I'm really surprised by the number of people who think we'll beat Tech. One more regular season win than last year:

09/05/10 at Texas Tech ...........L
09/11/10 vs. UAB Home ..........W
09/18/10 vs. Washington State....W
09/24/10 vs. TCU Home .............L
10/02/10 at Rice ..................W
10/09/10 vs. Tulsa Home............W
10/16/10 at Navy ..................L
10/23/10 vs. Houston Home .........W
10/30/10 at Tulane ................W
11/06/10 at UTEP ..................W
11/20/10 vs. Marshall Home.........W
11/27/10 at East Carolina .........L

Bowl game: SMU 63-Nevada 3, Hawaii Bowl
