ROLL CALL for Sat. Football Banquet

Postby BUS » Sun Apr 18, 2010 10:48 am

This should be a good fix for football "Jonesing". Wife and I can watch the players get their rings and review last years season.

Glad you mentioned it. Many of us not wishing to play in the golf tournament almost missed the final paragraph of June's letter concerning the dinner. As of Friday there were still 100 or so unsold tickets, I don't think it is for lack of interest, just communications. There was no mention of it on the Mustang Club site or the SMU Athletic site, which maybe corrected by now. Anyway, I hope now that tax season is over, the group has enough money left ($100 per head) to fill the place up.

SMU legend and New Orleans Saints Super Bowl hero Thomas Morstead will be our guest of honor for the weekend. Also, Barbara Gansz, wife of past SMU Coach Frank Gansz, will be our special guest at the Football Celebration. In addition, all of the members of the football team and coaching staff will be present.

Again, this is the only annual fundraiser we do for the SMU Football Team. Attached to this email is all of the event information for both events. If you are not able to attend, please consider a donation. I promise it will go a long way toward helping our program. My assistant Terry Gardner can answer any questions you have via [email protected] and/or (214) 768-7681.

I look forward to seeing you in a few weeks. Thanks again for your continued support of SMU Football. Our kids and coaching staff appreciate it more than you know.

Come on now Mexmustang, give us some credit... This was posted and sent out back on March 21st - http://smumustangs.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/032110aac.html... It's also still the third lead on the football page... Hope to see everyone there... GO MUSTANGS!

The third lead page of the football section? Sorry to have missed it.
The football office couldn't find it when I asked on Friday. Also on Friday the SMU Mustang Athletic page had in the upcoming events section on the first page, "no upcoming events" posted. Today, the upcoming events section now has listed several events, including the Jerry Levias Golf Tournament and the Football Banquet. I was more concerned with the SMU athletic Department site, than the Mustang Club site as this is their event. I'll buy you a couple of drinks and settle it like men.
