Re: Utah and Colorado to Pac-10, according to ESPNRadioWho does the big 12 pickup now?
TCU or col St.?
Re: Utah and Colorado to Pac-10, according to ESPNRadio
BYU
Re: Utah and Colorado to Pac-10, according to ESPNRadioTCU board seems to be 75% they will be added to the big 12....this would suck big time....
Re: Utah and Colorado to Pac-10, according to ESPNRadio
BYU seems to think their no sunday play rule will keep them from consideration, Probably the most obvious choice though.
Re: Utah and Colorado to Pac-10, according to ESPNRadiohavent seen this reported anywhere but it sounded a lot like a story I reade earlier today about some potential movement in the Pac-10 conference (and others).
"... the Pac-10, which like the Big Ten, announced plans to consider expansion. The most likely scenario sends Utah and Colorado to that league. Of the Pac-10’s current membership, six are members of the Association of American Universities, a prestigious consortium of research institutions. Of the league’s other four members, two were ranked among the top 60 schools in the latest U.S. News and World Report rankings for best public colleges. (USC, a private university, ranks 26th overall.) Colorado ranks 34th on that list and is an AAU member. Utah is not an AAU member but ranks 63rd on that list, ahead of Oregon State, which was not ranked among the top 100." http://gazetteonline.com/blogs/docs-off ... armageddon ![]()
Re: Utah and Colorado to Pac-10, according to ESPNRadio
Other options for the Big XII don't really add much, except for perhaps Arky (but Arky probably won't leave the SEC). Colorado State would probably be the next most logical, but their football program has been down in the dumps lately. TCU has been the best lately, but the Big XII is already Texas heavy so the Frogs wouldn't add any new markets.
Re: Utah and Colorado to Pac-10, according to ESPNRadio
Arkansas. TCU to the SEC. SMU & Boise St to the Mountain West. UC Davis/NTSU/UTSA/Tx State divvy up amongst CUSA & the WAC
Re: Utah and Colorado to Pac-10, according to ESPNRadioNo way is arkansas leaving SEC, lets remember that this is all about $$$$s and the SEC can buy and sell the big 12 at its whim...
Re: Utah and Colorado to Pac-10, according to ESPNRadio
as it is now perhaps. But I think I read where per school, the biggest TV payday is the Big 10 w/ its own network. I could see the Big 12 going to its own network, which would no doubt command a higher premium than does the Big 10 network.
Re: Utah and Colorado to Pac-10, according to ESPNRadioNO WAY Arkansas leaves rhe SEC! Are you crazy???
Long live Inez Perez!
