did we really cheat death? I think a more accurate title would be, "Article 19: The Story of SMU Getting Anally Assaulted by the Death Penalty for Over 20 Years"

Well, yes...but if we are going to end it with the feel good story of 2009, then you've got to put the cheating death part in it. They tried to kill us for good, but it didn't quite work.

I wonder what the lead in will be. The promos start "What if I told you..."
What if I told you he wasn't the greatest (the Ali movie) that a country would fail to protect it's greatest natural resource (Gretzky trade) What if I told you that sometimes it is a matter of life and death (Colombian soccer murders) that no one can outrun the truth (Marion Jones) What if I told you he's the only true Cub fan (Bartman) that you could heal all wounds with a fight song (Colts move) that the man no one could stop tragically was (Len Bias) What if I told you running a marathon was easy (Terry Fox)
There's little that our program got hit for that the current fan couldn't wrap the brains around:
What if I told you boosters were involved in a national powerhouse that the Governor's Men only wore uniforms on Saturday What if I told you some players received more than tuition to play a game
