Five Fantasy Football Sleepers in the 2010 NFL Draft

2) WR Emmanuel Sanders, SMU – Coming off a huge senior campaign, Sanders is slowly creeping up draft boards. He’s an explosive vertical playmaker with tremendous body control and leaping ability. Reminds me of Mike Wallace who went to the Steelers last year in the third-round and excelled as a slot receiver/deep threat. Sanders won’t be an immediate starter, but he’ll make a fine third option on a team with a good quarterback.

#16 on the WR big board...

16. Emmanuel Sanders, SMU-- Dynamic athlete whose stock has raised from workouts. Speedy and slippery with good feet. Sets up his moves and finds holes in zones nicely. Needs to work on securing the ball more quickly. Comes from a spread offense in a non-BCS conference where shootouts were common and good defense was not. Very slender build, lacks muscle tone and his legs are very skinny. Has little experience blocking and lacks the strength to do a lot in that area. Has good potential as a return man. Dominated Shrine Game sessions, and appears to have matured from being suspended in the past. 4th-5th rounder.

Overview

While Sanders is a slightly undersized receiver, he is certainly not timid when it comes to going over the middle and will compete for the ball. Unfortunately, his lack of size and strength makes it difficult for him to win many of those battles. He shows excellent acceleration off the line and can stretch the secondary down the seam with his vertical speed. He is confident in his hands and will reach out to pluck the ball. However, he also will drop some when he tries to make a move before securing the catch. He needs work on setting defenders up and can be a bit sloppy in his routes, but there is no reason to think he can't improve in that area. He probably fits the No. 3 or 4 receiver description more than a No. 1 or 2, but he should be able to contribute early on as a return specialist.

The daily SportingNews daily thing has Sanders going to Oakland in the third, and McNeal to the Rams in the seventh.

After 1st round, NFL Network was scrolling through best available at every position. Sanders was #2 WR avaialable.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
