It's not a low blow — it's true. Texas receivers are becoming like Penn State running backs. Gaudy stats in college, crap in the NFL. Lovell Pinkney, Mike Adams, Roy Williams, Limas Sweed ... guessing Jordan Shipley will flame out in Cincinnati, too. Of course, after catching pop-fly passes from Colt McCoy, he'll probably duck for cover when he sees the mortar shells Carson Palmer will be firing at him.

I'll admit that Roy has sucked since he moved to Dallas, but he put up good numbers in Detroit. In 06, he had 1310 yards and 7 TD's, then 836 yards and 5TD's the next year. He's by far the most productive WR to come out of there in years. He's been horrible here, but he was very productive in the league prior to his tenure in Dallas.

I don't think people would call him such a bust if the cowboys hadn't traded the farm to bring him to dallas. 800 yds isn't a bad year, but it's far from a good year for a #1 receiver. The guy has cracked 1000 yards one time in his career. Yea detroit isn't the best place to put up gaudy numbers, but take a look at calvin johnson who had 1300+ yds and 12 tds on an 0-16 team. roy has been nothing but a huge disappointment as of late.

I'd agree with that. Keep in mind, though, that Calvin was one of the highest rated prospects in that entire draft. The man's a monster. But yes, the expectations for Roy were exponentially higher than what he has produced since he got here.
