who knows...

Is the MWC being proactive and adding boise to be more attractive to leftover big12?
Or are they worried Utah will end up in the pac10?

I was hoping big 12 remains, picks up Air Force and Utah, crushing MWC, leaving TCU to craw back.
oh well, it was a dream scenario.

Yes-combined with reports I've seen that the MWC will almost assuredly stop at 12 or add only the Big 12 Leftovers it can get then there is one less seat at the table. Not unexpected though-pretty much have thought MWC is a no-go for SMU unless they went to 16 which I doubt.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

I've heard rumors that Utah could be chosen over A&M if the Big XII South (minus Baylor) go to the Pac-10 or if Texas & Nebraska go to the Big Ten, so this could be a proactive move.

If Boise isn't attractive to a AQ conference, what chance do we have?

ZERO. Which is why I had the initial posting a few days ago thinking we are screwed in any realignment scenerios. We're stuck. And for good.

Forget a possible PAc 10/Big 12 shared TV contract. We can get the mega dollars with a C-USA/ Sun Belt TV deal. Prosperity here we come.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

what is new about this? Boise was never gonna get in Pac or Big12 under any scenarios. I would say it makes it clear that Boise is ahead of us in the pecking order of things despite academics, location, market size etc. The question for me is why the MWC went ahead and did this now? its not like boise was going anywhere. Only possible reason i can think of is leverage with the remaining big12 in a merger discussion.

some MWC's seem to think this means Utah is going to the pac10 which means the pac10 didn't
get the big 12 schools meaning the big 12 could stay and take BYU. If Utah and BYU leave MWC that could do TCU in. Especailly if air force goes with byu to the big 12.

This would signal to me there is a zero chance of the best of the MWC jettisoning the bottom of the league to align with Big 12 leftovers and the best of CUSA West.

Not looking good for dear old SMU

I think we hope for aTm and UT to stay at odds each not agreeing to the others choice. Big 12 stays, stopping major expansions. MWC and TCU can't survive in MWC with UTAH, BYU and Air force gone. TCU comes crawling back to CUSA West.

I can dream........

So is our best hope now for the Big 12 to stay together and raid two MWC teams, and the Pac-10 take Utah, thus the MWC will be at seven and need to add 5 teams to have 12? This feels like an LSAT logic game...
