Re: Boise to MWC OfficialAlso, wasn't there talk of SDSU dropping football all together?
Re: Boise to MWC Official
as of this moment, its not far fetched. Think about it, Boise was going nowhere but the MWC, they are not attractive to any AQ conference. MWC wants to add them now, because they would probably say no thanks, if Utah, BYU and others leave. I think MWC still has plenty to worry about, of course that could all change in the next 20 minutes. Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!
Re: Boise to MWC OfficialThis is the oen thing everyone has known for months. Garrett on here even gave us the timing. This is the one thing that had to be done by the end of the month.
This probably would have been done last week, but all Hell broke loose. Then Boise and the MWC each decided to look around and see what their options are for a few days. The only thing you can reasonable deduce is that as of today there is no plan for anyone to leave the MWC. I am not sure Boise joins if they thought Utah (or anyone else) might leave or if they thought there was an opening for them elsewhere. I don't think you can read anything about any of the Big XII leftovers from this. As far as SMU goes, this is neutral, except that it brings TCU closer to BCS conference status based on the existing criteria, which I might add, can change at any moment. When people talk 4 or five super-conferences, they are not thinking MWC. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: Boise to MWC Officialif BYU and Utah were gone, what is the point of joining MWC? Agree that maybe it dislodges TCU from the west, but thats about it as far as we are concerned.
Re: Boise to MWC Official
Yes. Something about they couldn't afford the rent at Qualcomm, but don't want to build their own stadium. Question is though, if they are getting BCS money, can they afford to stay afloat?
Re: Boise to MWC OfficialMWC is not going to jettison the bottom of their conference just include a school like SMU.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Boise to MWC Officialif that dream became a reality, I don't think those MWC would survive with a core of Wyoming, UNLV, San Diego, New Mexico, and Colorado State.
Re: Boise to MWC OfficialJoe Schad twitter
http://twitter.com/schadjoe/status/15938551114 Big 12 stays together with 10 teams... so baylor, kansas, kansas st., mizzzu, iowa st. and add 5 teams.... Possible SMU, houston, memphis, tulsa? this would be good for us...
Re: Boise to MWC OfficialThe only positive (and I do mean only) for SMU in all of this mess is that it brings us one step closer to a playoff system. So maybe we run the table one year in C-USA and have a shot at a playoff. Who knows. We're not going anywhere though of that you can be sure.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Boise to MWC Officialpaves the way for NTSU to join the WAC. or Baylor. lol
Re: Boise to MWC OfficialWould love to have Baylor in C-USA, need to lose a school in the East, send Tulane to the East division and add Baylor in the west.
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!
Re: Boise to MWC OfficialOk, so MWC is adding BSU, but they're not out of the woods by any means. If B12 stays together, then they're probably losing three schools (2 to B12, Utah to Pac 10). Therefore, they could still very well be interested in expansion; however, it wouldn't be close to an AQ conference.
Re: Boise to MWC Official
I think the Big East and UCF will take care of the school in the East
Re: Boise to MWC Official
Is this still a BCS confernce is the ??? I think it would be just as good as the MWC
