Re: Chip Brown: Aggies have Board of Regents Votes to Go SEC
Who cares? These two were instrumental in breaking up the SWC and all of the decades old rivalries associated with it so they could hog recruiting and TV money. If they want to let their rivalry deteriorate let them have at it.
Re: Chip Brown: Aggies have Board of Regents Votes to Go SECI like the move by ATm if true. They should be done with UT"s shadow. In that conference they can actually attratc better talent - and it is a bold and gutsy move - instead of following Bevo's dung around they can acutally cut their own path. SEC gets Tx inroad in recruiting and also in game times - its a better conference so i think better payer will want to go there.
we would actually fit nicely there as well - altough harder for us to be successful on the field - aggie covers Houston and we would open up Dallas. Makes Ut's move a little less slam dunk.
Re: Chip Brown: Aggies have Board of Regents Votes to Go SECNo, it's been said by more than one person on both sides of the UT/A&M situation that if A&M is in a different conf. from Texas, that annual game is kaput. Doesn't mean they won't still play occassionally, but it won't be every year.
Re: Chip Brown: Aggies have Board of Regents Votes to Go SECB.s. - they will play every year till the end of time. We are not in the same conference as TCU and we play them always. Whoever told you that has an axe to grind.
Re: Chip Brown: Aggies have Board of Regents Votes to Go SEC
Your are correct. Just like Texas and Texas A&M would never split up either. However, the rumor, and it is strictly a sepculative rumor was Texas A&M and Kansas in the west and North Carolina and Duke in the east. Football is already strong in the SEC and this would wrap up basketball for a long time. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Chip Brown: Aggies have Board of Regents Votes to Go SEC
Remind me, who won the SMU-TCU football game in 2006?
Re: Chip Brown: Aggies have Board of Regents Votes to Go SEC2006 was the exception that proves the rule.
