if Chip Brown is the source on this one, don't know that I trust it. He has reported every possible scenario, and it really seems that UT is just using him to spread rumors and see what public reaction will be.

He is nothing but a puppet. Enjoy your 15 minutes Chipper.

I maybe slow in this whole matter but why would Texas remain in a conference that has only 10 members. The shifts that we have been witnessing over the past week were all caused by the Big 10 initially saying they were exploring expansion to have a conference championship game. Why would the Big 10 and PAC 10 increase membership to 12+ but the Big 12 reduce its membership to 10? Doesn't make sense to me.

If this happens, Baylor lucks out again and will reap the reward...utterly disgusting.

The biggest loser if the Big 12 stays together might be Jerry Jones. His precious Death Star won't get to host the BIG 12 Championship. I Wonder if he gets involved and convinces Ark to move to the Big 12 given that the money would be more equal to what they currently get in the SEC.

how much would it suck if aTm left anyway and the Big XII added TCU, BYU and Utah. Guess that would get us and UH and the MWC though

This has to be a bluff by Texas to stop A&M from flirting with the SEC.

I think Texas is now putting the onus on A&M to commit or walk and Texas will do the same. This may be too far gone to salvage. I have a hard time believing they can actually dump the Big XII title game and have the revenue they discuss. Isn't the current TV deal predicated on that game? Won't they lose some money of that game goes away?

I actually think it is funny if Colorado and Nebraska leave and the league stays together. As far as I am concerned that is two fewer teams recruiting in Texas effectively.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Is this the same Chip Brown who confirmed last week that Texas, Tech, OU and OSU were headed to the P10?

didnt Mack Daddy Brown say he wanted to stay in the Big 12 when all this started? Texas in the Pac 10 or Big 10 really makes no sense geographically or time zone-wise. Yeah the money is good...but...if they can convince ARK to jump and add TCU the Big 12 may survive...sure Texas may not have wanted a TCU in the Big 12, but this thing is so fluid....they may prefer a TCU and ARK over trips to Pullman, Washington....and who knows maybe our long shot is they add more than 2?

Exactly. Well put Dooby. A&M becomes the "heavy" and goes to the SEC, then Texas can say before going to the PAC 10, "We tried."

I don't really see how the Big 12 can stay together for long even with Texas. If you were Kansas, wouldn't you bail the first chance you got? SEC? PAC10? There has to be no trust remaining with any of the Big 12 members. Especially with Texas in charge.
