ponygrad90,
We offer a 10-minute amnesty period. If you're joking, come clean and all will be forgiven.
If we find out later? Oooo it won't be pretty..... :) The clock is ticking.

Supposedly the new Big 12 tv deal is something like $20 million / year for UT/OU/A&M and $17 million per year for everyone else, right? However, they cannot have a championship game with just 10 teams.

The only way I see SMU and UH getting in is if SMU/UH agree to take some amount that is less than the amount the Big 12 gains by being able to have a championship game. If that was the case, and the Big 12 was rejected by 4 or 5 teams then they might ask SMU/UH to be their 11th and 12th teams.

I would assume SMU would be willing to take a very small share of the TV money for the chance to be in the Big 12, heck we might even pay an annual fee. Not sure UH could afford much of an annual payment though.

For the record, I think there is no chance this happens but if it does I will be turning cartwheels.

Ok. That is ridiculous. There is no way Baylor is pulling any strings at this point. They have about as much say in this as Iowa St does. TCU would be left out because it would be a nationally televised game and Texas would lose money because it wouldn't go on their new tv network. And Oklahoma and Texas have essentially recreated the Big 8--why would they bring in a 3rd team that would be a potential road block to a national title?

Exactly how does someone located in Rolling Hills Estates, CA get this juicy bit of information? Inquiring minds want to know. 8)
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

From the Article: SMU and Houston would be foolish to turn down the invite but it will ultimately make their schools weaker when it comes to recruiting.

I will neither agree or disagree with the theme post because in Texas politics and football make stange bedfellows.

I would think it would make recruiting better for both schools right? I could be wrong, I am not an expert in this matter.
