The silliest thing to watch will be the new promos made to show at halftimes on TV, which will of course tout the importance of the "student athlete".

This is good news. Colorado and Nebraska weren't that fun to watch. This would have been the beginning of the end for small schools. Now, they just need a playoff system and kill the BCS cartel.

And that wont happen. The bcs-BS is the "playoff system" - in their eyes & in the eyes of the spineless colleges who WONT fight it.

Now that Fox has put money into the BCS coffers, its going to toe the line as well. So what network is going to want to put billions on the table for a true Division 1-A playoff? NBC, ABC-ESPN, CBS, Fox? They all drink from the BCS vine, ain't gonna happen. So, my view is that the only question left on the table for now is whether the PAC-10 moves to 12 which I believe they will do and add Utah. Although the idea of them asking SMU, TCU, UH, Rice and Utah, has a certain ironic style to it (but I can't believe they would do that UNLESS, the TV suits told them to). So, the MWC will lose a prime number for their AQ math. The BE stays together for now. We stay in CUSA and make noise there.

I agree as its just a boring Mid American conference with no pizazz. I really thought with this major shakeup it would force ALL Conferences to measure up and would give us a spot at the big trough.....not this time it appears as no major Conference is going to stick its neck out to sign a private U with limited appeal until the dust settles a bit. We just need to improve the product and get the campus situated ( Bush Library, indoor practice facility, expand across I-75, etc.) over the next three years and hopefully catch a big wave home.

The Big 12(10) sucked before this, and now really sucks, the fact that any network can give them that money is ridiculous....

There is only 1 game that anyone outside of Texas would ever want to watch, Texas/OU, other than that the league is poop....
