You can't seriously believe that TCU would do that.
Baylor, however, might very well employ those kind of tactics.

Re: Utah To PAC 10: What Does MWC Do Then?Man, that could be good news for us!
Re: Utah To PAC 10: What Does MWC Do Then?Reinforces my gut instinct that the MWC is not where we want to be.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Utah To PAC 10: What Does MWC Do Then?MWC, even without Utah, is an improvement over CUSA IMO. Should they add Houston and us then this is what you're looking at with the top end.
Boise State TCU BYU SMU Houston Air Force To me that is better than the following Houston Tulsa East Carolina Southern Miss Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Utah To PAC 10: What Does MWC Do Then?
Why is that? Where else would we go? Our only options are C-USA and MWC. If neither are BCS, either one is fine with me, but trips to Ft Collins, Colorado Springs, and San Diego sound a lot nicer than Huntington, Greenville, and Hattiesburg. Plus, you at least get to play TCU, Boise St, and BYU--and play on tv instead of an internet stream.
Re: Utah To PAC 10: What Does MWC Do Then?New Mountain West
Air Force BYU Colorado St. New Mexico San Diego St. TCU UNLV Wyoming Boise SMU Houston Fresno St. Only two teams SMU would have a travel and/or competitive interest in. Is this what we really want? I'll only take it if it includes a BCS auto bid.
Re: Utah To PAC 10: What Does MWC Do Then?
Looks like the old WAC, but with 3 top level teams in BYU, TCU, BSU.
Re: Utah To PAC 10: What Does MWC Do Then?I think games in Houston, El Paso, New Orleans, and Tulsa trump games in Laramie, San Diego, Boise, and Provo. In essence CUSA west is pretty centrally. Travel to in-divison away games is easy. Yeah, Greenville, Huntington, Hattiesburg are there. But so are Orlando, Memphis and, Birmingham. Its easy travel for our teams. Costs are manageable and unless the MWC becomes an auto-bid conference, why increase costs? Also, in my view the MWC conference would clearly push us deeper into irrelevancy. Mountain and western time zone games, whoopee.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Utah To PAC 10: What Does MWC Do Then?I am with those who think that the MWC is a good choice depends on whether they bring an AQ status.
![]() And who sez there is no chance for Big XII or SEC, or even PAC 10 for that matter? On the latter two it just depends on how committed the are to expand into Texas. ![]() ![]() ![]() Go Ponies!!
