USA HOSED IN WORLD CUP

While they never should have spotted Slovenia two goals, the disallowed winning goal was a pitiful call. The referee should be forced to watch the rest of the World Cup from his home in Mali.

The American team gets no respect- hence no advantageous calls. That call was totally incorrect.
Four years ago there was another call that changed the outcome of a game. An American player was obviously fouled in the penalty box against Italy but no call. Again, it was Italy and the Americans were not supposed to get 'fair' calls.

It is really time FIFA does something about the quality of officiating. Too many outcomes are the result of poor quality officials.

In hockey that's the time of the game when whistles get put away except if the foul is egregious. This is the type of thing that sours Americans on soccer.

Worse than the Jim Joyce call in Detroit a few weeks ago? I think so.

It's amazing how a team that played that badly at the start could play that well at the end.

That ref should never work international soccer again.

Good run by the USA team! Ghana was the better team and showed it Saturday. USA cannot compete with the big boys, Germany, Argentina, Brazil etc.. and have a long ways to go. Look forward to 2014!
