Congratulations to all those that worked to achieve this goal. I know volunteering to ask people to donate during these economic times has to be a challenge.

Well done.

Very nice.

How does this stack up to athletics fundraising at comparable schools (ie. TCU, etc.)? Just curious because I have no frame of reference.

Not sure if this is the same thing, but it looks lower than what our mustang club raised this year...

I think that, in part, is part of the "...including capital and other contributions" that gets the number from the 5's to the 9's

This is just part of the Frog Club fund raising. Our total was over $5,000,000 too. The grand total will be announced at the final Frog Club membership meeting.

Congratulations on your fund raising efforts. It will take a lot for either one of us to make up the difference between out TV contracts and the "BcS" schools TV contracts.

Excellent point. When the possibility of Baylor being hung out to dry was out there, I thought to myself just how much SMU and/or TCU or whomever could do with an extra $17M per year BCS-type money...amazing when you think about it; Baylor on the other hand is spoon fed and perhaps doesnt have to be as resourceful. Doubly eyebrow raising when you consider these are private schools with no state $

I would like to know how many new season ticket holders we have. I think that’s a better measurement of the success of the program. Just 8 weeks away many new tickets could be sold yet.

After all a 33% increase sounds fabulous. But the reality is the majority of Mustang Club members gave less than $500.00 last year realtislcy closer to the $250.00 level.
As you know we were asked to Pony Up. Not to take anything away from the success of the campaign. But I think were basically the same group paying more

Something tells me that individual ticket sales will be up considerably. And season ticket sales will break about even from losses sustained and new tickets sold.

I agree that individual game tickets will go up, so as to avoid the fee imposed for the privilege of then buying tickets.
