Padron could have a huge 2010 season

Post by Maiken »

I think this could be a breakout year for Padron. What do you guys think?

Nice to see some good pub prior to the season and some expectations beyond the previous mediocrity.

Thanks for the post. I fully agree with your article. I can't wait to see what Padron does this year. I believe we have the QB set for awhile.

Agreed. Even in thought we must eliminate the possibility that it could be otherwise.

We had several complains about the post. This person was a blogger who was neither a regular PonyFan nor a site sponsor. We don't allow blatant advertising unless you're a PonyFans.com sponsor or are a regular, contributing PonyFan (like Rick at CUSA-fans.com) who has asked for (and received) permission in advance. So we left the thread up, but deleted the link.

With a complete 13 game season he could pass for 4K yards and 35TDs.

Good thinking. The less people we have writing about SMU the better.

Sissies.

I guess I could understand if you mods wanted him off, although he really isn't competition, more of an addition. I say the more the merrier. We have guys pimping their articles and their cartoons all the time. And who knows, maybe this guy will be a frequent poster now......unless we run him off.

So it's cool to post advertisements for flights on Southwest Airlines and bar specials during soccer games, but not cool to write an article about Padron and post it on here? This guy was not asking anyone to check out a tape of some spare recruit from Princeton, TX. The poster was not asking anyone to buy cheaper electricity.

People post obviously ridiculous and inaccurate information (SMU to the Big XII thread comes to mind) and support their theories by posting bleacher report articles. These threads aren't edited to delete links. Somebody outside of ponyfans.com actually cares enough about SMU to write an article/blog about Padron and gets run off? Let's face it... very few people really care about this program. This is just my two cents.

He's the SMU Mustangs Examiner. He's giving SMU some publicity and has posted on scout.com and other forums to start discussions. We need to support someone like him not kick him off!!

What were the complaints made relative to the post that led you to delete the link?
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

There is a reason the SMU fanbase is non-existant outside of the park cities bubble and SMU alumni. As I heard from EVERYONE when I chose to attend SMU, "Why would you want to go to school with those snobby elitists?"
"I think Couchem is right."

I have never gone against the webmaster here, but I too agree. The link should not have been removed.
