From Politico.com

The local congressman goes Code 3 when Baylor faces a life outside the Big 12. The story also references U of H, VaTech, and Iowa State.

Would it have been wrong of me to have taken the time to watch this train wreck. Really would have been a lesson in economics and finance to see how the bears would have adjusted to no big XII money..no UT, atm or Oklahoma home games. Just think of the economic impact of no big conference to fund all those jobs and the stigma of having been abandoned by your in state schools.

Good point.

Funny how history always repeats itself. I remember the last years of the SWC the proportion of $$$ was 'reapportioned' in favor of TU & TAMU - & of course the rest is history. Much like what it's about to happen now. But then again, we didn't have the bcs-BS back then, too. Kinda like a dividing line that just wont go away.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
