He was an asst at Tennessee under Kiffin as well.

Random anecdotal story: About 7-8 years ago I was coming back to Corpus from Victoria where Calallen had played a playoff football game. Going through Refugio, I noticed that they were having an illuminated Christmas parade. The grand marshal of the parade was none other than Willie Mack Garza. Guy never forgot his roots.
