does this include tuition? If so, its bogus. high tuition is a factor that makes a school less competitive, not more.

usually these figures include cost of scholarships which inflates private school numbers

Do you ever wonder where all that tuition money goes? 40k a year for an education that you could get for 1/5 of that price, where does it go?

Accounting for athletic departments is about as transparent as the accounting for Maddoff's hedge fund. Take with a grain of salt.
