SMU gets to have their payback this year against Washington

Postby rbeal31 » Thu Jul 01, 2010 2:54 pm

I can’t wait for this game!! The overtime loss at Washington State was brutal last year, but this year we are going to own the Cougars!!!

Just found out the game will be televised on CBS College Sports, thankfully my wife let me upgrade our cable to the sports package. Other games that will be on CBS College Sports are:
-SMU vs Navy
-SMU vs Houston
-SMU vs ECU

Does that put almost every game on TV this year? How nice for those of us with DVR.

Navy was another game that shouldn't have gotten away.

The Houston game might've been different too if McCann's opening KO TD hadn't been called back.

If it's not in the range of 49-0 I will be very disappointed. That team is truly awful

While I certainly hope we can win that game at home-SMU can't afford to take any team for granted especially a BCS team and especially one that actually beat us. Yes Bo threw the game away in the second half but in the first half he probably had the second best half of any QB during the entire season. WSU had one of the worst Division 1A QBs you'll ever see last year. They got a pretty highly regarded Sophomore who won the job after the SMU game. SMU has to find some playmakers at RB and Receiver for this Offense to gel. We struggled to beat about 5 teams who are equal to bottom half CUSA teams or less(SFA) so beating any BCS team will be a challenge this year with less playmakers. I expect the WSU game to be pretty close.

I was at this game last year and if we had anyone not named Bo Levi Mitchell playing QB we'd have won that game by 5 TD's. They had the worst defense I've ever seen outside of the completely braindead interceptions. With Padron, we donkeypunch these jokers.

SMU 52
WSU 13
Back off Warchild seriously.

I do think Nevada had a lot better team than Washington State last year, but WSU could be better with their new QB this year. The key is SMU has to be ready to play every week. If not and SMU is flat, like they were to start the Rice game last year, we could get beat.
