However, the article does erroneously say this: His real potential would be realized in the team’s first bowl game in 20 years against the Nevada Wolfpack, one of the toughest defenses in the nation. By time the game was over he would shred the Nevada defense for 460 yards and two touchdowns.

Of teams with > 20 passes per game (all but a handful) last season the best yards per attempt was 9.4. Kyle had 9.56 yards per attempt!

When was the last time we even had a player mentioned as a posible Hypesman contender?

Cool, too bad he doesn't have Sanders one more year or Terence. He sure did look great in the bowl, so crisp on his passes and routes. He'll be bigger and stronger this year.

I mentioned the possibility of me getting it a few times in the early '70s.

I understand you were 5th in the voting one year. However, I think Dickerson was in the running after you. To my knowledge, We haven't had a contender or even a consideration since Dickerson. I could be wrong and thus the question. When was the last time?

Padron is not only bigger and stronger but knows the offense pretty well this year. It will be interesting considering we have two good WRs coming back for their 3rd year in this offense and a lot of new WR talent along with several experienced reserves.

Pretty sure that outside of ponyfans.com postings, Dickerson would have been the last one with any consideration. And for some reason cannot get voted into the college football hall of fame.

here's the voting. Dickerson unfortunately chose perhaps the greatest year ever with NFL Hall of Famers-Herschel Walker, Dickerson, Elway and Marino among others on the ballot for the Heisman and several more College Hall of Famers as well. What a Class. http://collegefootball.rivals.com/conte ... CID=748498
