He's quietly (and arguably) the best Club coach in Texas. He CONSISTENTLY takes a team of 3rd tier Houston kids to championships among some of the best in the country. GASO, Vegas, it doesnt matter...they win. He has a team of 16yr olds in the final 4 of the 17U division of the biggest baddest event in the Southwest.

He's a successful HS coach...he's an alum...good hoops IQ. Would any ever consider him for asst coach position? I would...right now.

Not enough ACC experience and not Friend of Doh.

# 1- has he applied for the opening?

#2- hopefully come March 2011, the next HC
will recognize what an outstanding asst.
Woods would be, hire him & turn him loose in Htown.

Woods is working his way up. He'd make a really nice assistant in the next regime.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

Glad to hear of his success, hope it continues to build. Watching him play, you knew he had potential as a coach. I am surprised to hear he is in coaching, I thought he gone the business route.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
