Cool idea. Ought to be fun and very interesting. Thanks guys.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Yo Dutch, are you going to have any special drinks (I recommend Peruna of course) for thirsty PonyFans?

The Lineup: Just FYI, for most editions of PonyFans LIVE! we plan on having a coach as our special guest each week, plus a former player or other Mustang luminary who should be able to address whatever the current hot topic is. Unfortunately, this week, all the coaches are down in San Antonio for some sort of event.
So instead, I think Pride did an OUTSTANDING job of identifying two guys that ought to be able to provide some spectacular insights into the upcoming season and can answer PonyFans' burning questions.
DBs We didn't lose many seniors this year, but the ones we lost were huge. Particularly in the defensive backfield where we lost ballhawk Rock Dennis, hard-hitting safety Bryce Hudman, and of course 4-year starter Bryan McCann, who was so good he gets to play with a star on his helmet next week. After coaches Odum and Mason, there's probably nobody who knows the Mustang DBs better than McCann, so his impressions about where we are personnel-wise and his observations about the incoming freshman should be most interesting.
OL The offensive line should have been an area of strength for the Ponies -- and it still may be. But the interior of the line has been completely reshuffled. And of course, nobody knows these guys like Mitch Enright, who many have said was like having a coach on the field. How is Bryce Tennison's recovery progressing? What is Kelly Turner's strength? All this and more will be answered by the man who's been the anchor of the offense for the last several years.
Should be a GREAT show. We hope to see you all there! Help us pack the house, so we can make this a regular feature for PonyFans.

Just got back from doing the soundcheck.
A couple of additional points of interest.
a) Pitchers 'o beer will be $8
b) Ribs will be on the menu. Usually reserved for Thursday nights, the management will be busting out their world famous ribs for PonyFans LIVE!. Seriously, if you haven't had 1st & 10 ribs, they're almost as good as beating TCU by 21.

Hope we get a huge turnout tonight for the first edition of PonyFans LIVE!
Bring your families, friends, co-workers — and your appetites — and bring questions for Mitch Enright and Bryan McCann, as we'll open up a microphone for a Q&A with the players after the show. McCann is heading off to training camp with the Dallas Cowboys later this week, and these were two key guys in the Mustangs' run to the Hawaii Bowl last year. Come out and let them know how much you appreciate their work on the Hilltop!
