I HATE Dale Hansen with a passion. I have only watched his show a handful of times since the death penalty and that was after some big win to see highlights and certainly not him. I watched it last night at 10 to see Kyle Padron because I'm a big fan of his and I reallly like his family too. I had heard Kyle was on at 6 and I think he is a great student-athlete and represents what SMU and college football should be about! Instead at 10 Dale used it as a time to bad mouth SMU again. At first I hated it. But then maybe HE has the stage that can draw attention about this Admissions embarassment and get our school to DO something about this PR nightmare.

In this age of declining revenue for different media outlets, you would think the Belo corp would let this blowhard take a graceful early retirement! His shtik has grown so old over the years. He is a failure as a husband, father and person. Joe Trahan is a capable replacement. We don't watch WFAA anymore unles we hear of a particular topic of interest. Does anyone like this guy? Do people still turn him on and care what his opinion is. Oh the fake tears have gotten old too. What a hypocrite.

I will watch ch.4 then ch.11 and then ch.5 in that order to catch the

sports news everyday, but avoid ch.8 unless I know there

will be a Mustang story.

I get it. Everyone hates Dale. Fine.
But I think everyone is missing the bigger picture. The PR staff has obviously deemed the admissions issue a no-go for interviews now.
In less than a week JJ and some players will be at CUSA media day. Will reporters be told they can talk to them about anything except that? How would that play in a room filled with print/TV reporters? And is this the way the department is going to handle this for the forseeable future?
If you tell reporters they can't ask/talk about something, they are going to talk about it.

I think it's just a no-go for players.

Media Day isn't exactly a bastion of hard hitting journalism.
